Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupé

The S 63 AMG meets exceptional terms of quality, high-class appeal and perfection with not only its design but its equipment and appointments.

The S 63 AMG represents a new dimension in driving dynamics in its segment with its distinctive AMG exterior styling. Inside, the emphasis is on comfort, quality and style: from the sumptuous nappa leather AMG sports seats to the Burmester® surround sound system.

Inside the Mercedes-AMG S 63, you’ll find AMG sports seats with optimised lateral support to compliment the car’s athletic handling. Finished in exquisite nappa leather, they feature an AMG V8-specific design, complete with AMG badge in the backrests. For maximum comfort, the active multicontour front seats even have a built-in massage function, while the seat memory package offers total convenience.

Signature AMG design touches range from the AMG sports steering wheel to AMG sports pedals in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs. There’s also a wealth of high-end technology, including the COMAND Online system with Media Interface and a superb Burmester® surround sound system. The KEYLESS-GO Comfort package offers keyless start-up, remote boot closing and hands-free access to the car.

The Mercedes-AMG S 63 is powered by a bi-turbo V8, capable of producing 585 hp and a massive 900 Nm of torque. Coupled with the acclaimed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed automatic sports transmission, it can take the Coupé from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds. The distinctive AMG roar has to be heard to be believed.

Whilst the AMG models are famed for their brutal acceleration and quick-fire gearshifts, the Mercedes-AMG S 63 also has a more refined side. A choice of transmission modes includes ‘S’ (Sport), ‘M’ (Manual) and ‘C’ (Controlled Efficiency). The latter, with its long gearing and smooth response ensures that cruising in the Coupé is as effortless as it is refined.

Exceptional styling includes an AMG-specific radiator grille, flanked by striking LED headlamps with Intelligent Light System. There’s also an AMG front apron with matt silver splitter, along with matt silver rear apron and side sill panels.

Visible twin tailpipes are chrome-plated and a choice of sounds are selectable via transmission mode control - so you can make the most of those breath-taking AMG acoustics.

Eye-catching 19” Alloy wheels are also standard, behind which painted grey brake calipers with AMG lettering form part of the high-performance braking system. Heat-insulating, noise-insulating and infrared-reflecting laminated glass is another key feature.

Paired with the AMG sports suspension, new MAGIC BODY CONTROL uses a built-in camera to scan the road surface ahead for bumps and undulations. Based on what it sees, the system can then adjust the damping in advance and increase or reduce the load applied to the wheels using active hydraulics. The result is the most sublime ride and precise handling imaginable.

In addition, carving through corners is more comfortable and assured than ever, thanks to the curve tilting function. This enables the vehicle body to lean into bends by up to 2.5 degrees when cornering, much like a motorbike in full flow (though considerably less dramatic).

On poor surfaces, suspension can also be raised to prevent damage to the vehicle’s underside, while at high speeds it is automatically lowered to enhance aerodynamics and stability.
