With autumn turning into winter, we’ve now well and truly said goodbye to one of the biggest automotive shows of the year. The Frankfurt IAA is always full of exciting news, cutting edge designs, grand unveilings of future technology and of course this year is no exception.
Mercedes-Benz stole the show at IAA 2015, with the sharp and sleek looking IAA Concept, designed to be at the pinnacle of aerodynamic technology. The car physically changes its shape as it reaches higher speeds, extending its back spoiler and shifting its vents on the front of the car to help keep air flowing gracefully around the body, the ultimate in aerodynamics.
While this was only a concept car and will therefor never see production, the body shape and design features have been confirmed as the basis for some future plans from Mercedes-Benz. As a glimpse of what the future may hold, we can’t wait for the next exciting step.
Also on show for the first time at Frankfurt was the S-Class Cabriolet, blowing away the crowd with its luxurious convertible showcasing the kind of build quality and innovation we have come to expect from the S-Class range. With a variety of new features, exciting advancements, stunning good looks and powerful engine, we’re sure it jumped right to the top of a number of dream car wish lists.
For something a little more attainable, the show also saw the premier appearances of the C-Class Coupè and GLC Coupè, which both looked incredible and we can’t wait to get our hands on them in 2016.
