Mercedes-Benz Design Chief Gorden Wagener has promised an “all-new design” for the E-Class that is “much more beautiful and modern” than that of its predecessor, bringing it in line with the C-Class and S-Class.
The fifth-generation E-Class carries a similar style to its peers, with its multi-beam LED headlights, striking grille and the stylish crease. The E-Class features have been substantially modernised to make it the sleekest model to date.
Following the latest innovation in intelligent driving, the E-Class has added to its new Driving Assistance package including ‘Active Lane Change Assist’. This modern and exciting piece of technology steers the new E-Class into the adjacent lane when the driver activates the turn indicator for more than two seconds to change lanes. The vehicle will only change lanes if the sensors do not detect any other car in the relevant safety zone.
The E-Class is both beautiful on the inside and out. Exciting new interior features include a centre console storage compartment which includes a wireless charging mat for mobile phones. We are working hard advancing in technology and giving consumers a taste of what is yet to come over the next few years.
There will be four models available, starting with a Saloon and followed by an Estate version later this year. Followed by Coupé and Convertible versions in 2017, along with an exciting new addition, the plug-in hybrid E350e later in the year.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be available to order in 2016. Search for your local dealership here.
