Mercedes-Benz Van Range: Your eco-friendly guide

At Mercedes-Benz we are innovators. Not only do we offer great products, but take pride in our environmental credentials.
By September 2016, all new vehicles need to comply with Euro 6 emissions to ensure they are environmentally friendly.

The current 108 CDI model will be discontinued; however there will be great improvements on the 109 CDI, 111 CDI and the 112 petrol models. The introduction of BlueEFFICIENCY will be as standard, featuring excellent fuel efficient technology including: ECO Start/Stop technology. The Eco-tyres will assist the fuel consumption efficiency vehicle. The offside loading door will become an optional choice for all Citan models with the exception of the Long Tourer, where it will continue as standard. Additional modifications to the Citan include the optimised levels of Exhaust Gas Re-circulation and a ‘DeNOX’ High Efficiency Catalytic Converter exhaust system.

There will be slight changes made to the Vito range as all 2.1 litre engines and Tourer models already comply with the Euro 6 emissions since April 2015 thanks to SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology. The 1.6 litre engine models will not include ECO Start/Stop technology; however, the standard specification will be upgraded by the addition of an adjustable steering column for all models.

Since July 2013, Sprinter models including the V6-cylinder engine, chassis cab with lowframe and Tourer have all been modified to meet the Euro 6 emissions. In June 2016, the only modifications made will include two new engine designations; these will enhance both power and torque output. We will also rename the Traveliner the Tourer and all models will feature the innovative SCR technology.
